journalists, the President of Malta, leading
German, French and English Knights, as
well as the Grand Master. I also met the
American ambassador during a pleasant
luncheon given for me at a Maltese Baron���s
villa and subsequently at his office. My
mantra in all these visits centered on the
good works of the Order, the remarkable
Republic of Malta and the benefits derived
from bringing the parties together in an
unfolding new Europe and in an increasingly
integrated world.
