The richness of Molyneux���s inner work chamber, with its
scattering of figurines, calls to mind that of quite a different
kind of practitioner: Sigmund Freud���s consulting room at
Berggasse 19 in Vienna, c. 1910 with its Arabian carpets
and plethora of ancient and totemic figurines. Molyneux���s
work table is a classical bureau plat which he designed
himself, graced by a tall thin Alberto Giacometti sculpture
in plaster. On another table is a bronze Chinese horse
illuminated by a large bronze urn lamp with ormolu herm
mounts on the handles���a Russian 19th century vase
mounted as a lamp, which came from Ariane Dandois in
Paris. This fascination with the refined representation of
the human figure or of beasts tells us that this is a wide
