So detailed is the scheme that the vertical sections of
the pelmet are slightly proud of the central upper mass,
thereby adding levity to the visual impact. A delicate gilt
molding is placed along the top of each valance following
its contour and appropriately positioned on the same
level as the molding forming and surrounding the large
panels of wallpaper against which the massive paintings
hang. Discreet hardware provides a home for large
scale Hyland tiebacks in coordinating colors. Mr. Louis
Vella���s restoration carpentry and woodworking produced
excellent results.
