illuminated.
For the designer the single most important work of
art is the five by eight foot glass mosaic panel which
she conceived and created. inspired by Stieglitz���s 7 ��
x 9 �� silver gelatin print, Hands with Thimble (1920).
She feels ���creating it at SICIS in Soho was a great
artistic experience. Choosing the color was important.
Stieglitz���s image was black and white. I had the awesome
opportunity,��� recalls the designer, ���to imagine this iconic
work in color. I chose a crimson red for the textile in
the background to enhance artist Georgia O���Keeffe���s
