The path begins at a pair of monumental carved Renaissance style doors leading from the formal dining room. ���I wanted grass and tropical trees and water���I used faux turf, a somewhat longer version of what is used on playing fields and not unlike grass that grows in subtropical climates.��� A Dorothy Frankel fountain entitled Mudra was placed by the windows. For the designer, the most challenging and rewarding aspect of the project was choosing works from the huge Buhl collection of sculpture. She and Henry chose works to be placed in the courtyard by Botero, Rodin, Edwina Sandys, Picasso, Otterness and Man Ray, among others. HYLAND
