eaton Yachts is building a dream expedition yacht.
Imagining, looking at, visiting, conceiving of and sailing
in boats is an exhilarating experience that has animated
my life. Going to sea was a daily event during every
summer of my youth, and indeed, frequently it included
frostbite sailing. Security and safety at sea became values parallel to that of adventure.
Several years ago I visited John Clayman, the eminent
yachtsman, when he worked with Ted Hood, America
Cup Captain and my childhood yachting idol. Sometime
after that, John and I discussed elements that would
comprise our dream expedition style yacht capable of
