in the same cotton check as on the
walls, which are upholstered in blue and
beige Claremont Cotton. The desk is
18th century Italian from Therien & Co.,
San Francisco and the chair is Regency,
from Godson & Coles, London.
Throughout the apartment, Edward
Lobrano has assembled important
furniture in a supremely comfortable
way. The effect is grand yet restful,
an interior made for private life. I can
imagine Prousts Swann and Odette
de Crecy sipping tea and madeleines,
ensconced on the sofa in the salon,
cattleya orchid nearby. This romantic
apartment , eminently suitable for today,
is the very image of la vie en rose. H
