In hundreds of Hoffman���s sketches and paintings, the
same one or two Provincetown waterfront houses
reappear. Each appearance affords a new creation, a
new composition. One hopes that Quinze will do the
same, as each execution will bring him further artistic
realization.
I have been a life-long pick up sticks (Mikado) player,
although of a rather freeform variety comprising, generally,
as many as three sets of sticks. Played while sailing,
skiing and hiking, like my rough version of croquet,
