My quest was to find Churchill at Blenheim, at least
WC. During a touristic visit to Blenheim in the 1960s,
which would be followed by several more, I saw a chair
in the library with the initials WC carved on the back.
I mentioned the chair to Henrietta a few times during
our visits together over the years. She had not found it
there. Just before the weekend and from the moment I
arrived, I pressed her to visit the attic storage rooms in
quest of it.
Between a visit to Winston Churchill���s grave guided by
the Duke, and a luncheon given by him and the Duchess
