in honor of former Canadian Prime Minster Cretien, (then
on his way to Buckingham Palace to receive an order
bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth), Henrietta and
I made fast for the attics. Virtually every space was
explored, from the textiles storage room to Housemaids
Heights. It was nowhere to be found. Were the initials
Winstons? Or, was the chair used in a water closet? I
have always suspected the former. I havent given up yet.
There are still carriage houses, barns, sheds, pavilions
and secondary houses to search. Knowing Blenheim
and finding Winston Churchill, both the historical figure
and his initials, take a lifetime.
