and day alike, one was torn between Hermes��� indigo ���Only Watch Arceau Time Suspended��� with its alluringly slanted numerals and Patek Philippe���s classic black watch, its numerals also italic. Also classically elegant was the timeless Laurent Ferrier. In the more playful day/active category, Chopard���s contribution stood out, its black face set off by sunflower orange numerals and trim. Frederique Constant created a ���family set��� consisting of two pairs of his and hers watches in different but related designs. Girard-Perregaux���s travel watch had a clear and clean face in black and white, encircled by a multitude of time zones. De La Cour presented a sporty active day watch. Most futuristic was Celsius timepiece, which appeared to be something you would wear on a spaceship or on board a great high-tech yacht in the Monaco Yacht Show. The watch which was perhaps most emblematic of the cause that Van Cleef & Arpels Poetic Complication Watch, From the Earth to the Moon.
